* mdoc(7): improve output of .At 32vIngo Schwarze2021-09-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The official designation by AT&T was "UNIX/32V", so use that in the output. That also makes sense because "system/architecture" is a widespread convention to refer to the port of an operating system to a specific architecture, in this case 32V (32bit DEC VAX). The former wording "Version 32V AT&T UNIX" was misleading because 32V is not a version number. Even though UNIX/32V was not officially designated as Version 7 by AT&T, prepend "Version 7" because it was in fact a straightforward port of Version 7 AT&T UNIX. That makes it easier to understand for 21st century readers of manual pages. Suggested by nabijaczleweli at nabijaczleweli dot xyz. Same change as in GNU troff commit 21d30728. * Cleanup, no functional change:Ingo Schwarze2018-12-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Split the top level parser interface out of the utility header mandoc.h, into a new header mandoc_parse.h, for use in the main program and in the main parser only. Move enum mandoc_os into roff.h because struct roff_man is the place where it is stored. This allows removal of mandoc.h from seven files in low-level parsers and in formatters.
* libmdoc.h no longer needs mdoc.hIngo Schwarze2018-12-131-1/+0

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | -Wopenbsd and -Wnetbsd to check conventions for the base system of a specific operating system. Mark operating system specific messages with "(OpenBSD)" at the end. Please use just "-Tlint" to check base system manuals (defaulting to -Wall, which is now -Wbase), but prefer "-Tlint -Wstyle" for the manuals of portable software projects you maintain that are not part of OpenBSD base, to avoid bogus recommendations about base system conventions that do not apply. Issue originally reported by semarie@, solution using an idea from tedu@, discussed with jmc@ and jca@.

* First step towards parser unification:Ingo Schwarze2015-04-021-0/+1
| | | | | | Replace enum mdoc_type and enum man_type by a unified enum roff_type. Almost mechanical, no functional change. Written on the ICE train from Frankfurt to Bruxelles on the way to p2k15.
* AT&T is unlikely to release an new version of Research UNIX any time soon.Ingo Schwarze2014-11-281-3/+15
| | | | | So, it's pointless to make adding version strings easy for downstream. One source file less to maintain.
* Get rid of HAVE_CONFIG_H, it is always defined; idea from libnbcompat.Ingo Schwarze2014-08-101-2/+2
| | | | | | Include <sys/types.h> where needed, it does not belong in config.h. Remove <stdio.h> from config.h; if it is missing somewhere, it should be added, but i cannot find a *.c file where it is missing.
* KNF: case (FOO): -> case FOO:, remove /* LINTED */ and /* ARGSUSED */,Ingo Schwarze2014-04-201-1/+2
| | | | | remove trailing whitespace and blanks before tabs, improve some indenting; no functional change

Added MDOC_IGNDELIM (Pf, soon Li, etc.). macro_constant_delimited ignargs -> argv.c parsing. Renamed macro functions to correspond to ontologies. `Fo' and `St' made callable (compat documented). strings.sh deprecated (directly using CPP). Abstracted ASCII translation into ascii.{c,in}. ASCII table uses a self-reordering chained hashtable. Removed old regressions.
